For nearly 40 years, the Ruiz family has been bringing the bold, authentic flavors of Mexico to Rhode Island. What started as a dream to share our grandmother's treasured recipes has grown into a beloved community gathering place in the heart of Providence.
Every dish at Viva Mexico tells a story. Our rich, complex mole — made with chiles, spices, and chocolate — follows the same recipe our abuela perfected in Puebla. Our salsas are made fresh daily, our tortillas pressed by hand, and our love for feeding people runs through everything we do.
When you walk through our doors, you become part of our family. Jose & Cindy still greet guests personally, sharing stories and making sure every meal feels like home.
